Our Design Process

Research (Dream)

The first part of the process is research. Any project can be created without doing research, but the end result will not be the best solution unless you figure out the scope of the project beforehand.

Depending on the size of the project will determine how much time is invested in research. Some projects require a lot of research while others can take a minimal amount of time. This phase might also include thinking about and studying the competition of the business and finding weaknesses of theirs and improving in those areas.

This step also includes getting the thoughts of the clients and finding out what their ideas are. This is an important step in the design process because aside from creating a site that flows, the ultimate goal is to exceed the clients expectations.

Sketches and Ideas (Design)

After the initial research is done and all kinds of thoughts are wondering around inside our heads, the next step is to put those thoughts down on paper. Sketching things out is a good way to start designing since some ideas tend to naturally flow off of the research that has been done.

Some of the earliest sketches can turn out to be the best even though they might be very rough.

Once a few good sketches are converted to a digital file, then thoughts about layout, typography, grids, flow and usability all come into play and become important aspects of the design.

Development (Develop)

The last step is the execution of all the steps combined. This phase not only consists of coding and putting the pieces together, but also allows us to use the most up-to-date web standards. By using standards, the sites we create are accessible by the widest range of users. We also ensure that the sites we create are cross-browser and cross-platform compatible and available through various media types.

All these steps allow us to create simple, user-friendly sites that help solve business problems, as well as create unique user experiences with each visit.
